Cathay Pacific Airlines

I am so happy that we will be traveling again with Cathay Pacific Airlines in our next vacation in the Philippines. I want to try other airlines but Hubby insisted to fly again with the same airline.  Considering that they offer the best service to their passengers and the yummy food they serve on the plane. Other than that we never encountered any bad experienced flying with them so that is the most important thing for us.  Maybe this time, I will be able to get a souvenir magnet when we stop in Hong Kong in addition to my collection. 

Lunch Date

How's your Saturday guys? Snow is pouring again in the south part of the Netherlands and a temperature of minus two so it is really cold in here.  But nothing could stop us in dining out with friends. We had a sumptuous lunch in a Chinese-Mongolian Restaurant in the border of Germany to celebrate a friend's birthday.  Thanks for inviting us again!

My BDO Banking Experience

Do you have any experience good and bad with your own bank when your sending money to your families? Well, I do.  This is my worst experience with Banco De Oro in their eBanking service.  As a valued customer for four years, I did not have any issue in sending money and every thing went smooth every time I make a foreign transfer.  Just this past days, I was alarmed when the money I sent did not arrive as it use to be. I called the BDO Customer Service but the toll free is always busy and rather called the other hotline number that charges a regular airtime.  I was also very upset when a man named Dragon hanged up on me!!!  After that incident, I immediately talked to my bank and explained every detail.  They said it was already processed the day after I made the transaction.  To make it short, my mother filed a complaint in the bank and talked to the manager.  The problem was solve after few hours of waiting and  finally release the money.  Thinking about what happened, it would be better to follow up transactions immediately.  If you wait, you wait for nothing.  I hope the company will find ways to give the best  service to their clients.  Now, I am planning to close my account and look for a new bank.  Any suggestions?

Chinese Beliefs

Before Chinese New Year ends on Sunday ( i believe so), I and hubby went to our favorite Chinese Restaurant located in the border of Netherlands and Germany to dine in.  The last time we were there was with family last Christmas. The restaurant looks new because  of some  renovations they made to the place. Honestly, I want to eat duck meat because according to a Fung Shui expert that guested in Kris TV, the meat of the duck is good for fertility (meaning those who are trying and planning).  I do not really believe this but there is no harm in trying, right? The crispiness of the skin is what i love the most!  It is so damn good.

Ticket to Ede - NL

In two weeks time i will be meeting some old friends i met way back when i was still in the Philippines.  It is kinda exciting to see their faces for we have not seen each other for some time. Well, I still have to buy one train ticket for myself because hubby can not come along with me since his son is with him that weekend.  Good thing that tickets were offered again at a lower price than normal.  I am so excited!  Ticket is valid for a whole day travel in the Netherlands so it is really a great deal.  So for sure, i will be seeing you all soon and btw i will get the ticket tomorrow after work.  Just thinking what to bring for potluck, any suggestion anyone?

A Day in The Hague

I went to the city of The Hague where the Philippine Embassy is located in the Netherlands last Monday to renew my passport that will expire pretty soon.  I needed a new one before i can start traveling again. It was not that difficult to find the place because you can see the Philippines flag hanging on top of the building and i thought of sharing a bit of my experience.  They do not allow visitors go inside on their closing times, meaning you have to wait outside even if it is damn too cold. It would have been nice to have a waiting area especially for some people who traveled  far and arrived a bit early. I also brought photocopies of my passport as stated in their website but it is not needed (not accepted).  But everything went well in the end and sorted every thing out.  After that i headed in to town and acquainted myself in the city center since I do not go to this city that often and to might as well enjoy window shopping.

That afternoon I met Fey, a good friend,  a blogger and the owner of  Fe's Journey in Life.  She lives close by the center.  She showed me and accompanied me (thankful enough :)) while i was waiting for my brother to finish work.  Until we came across to a  2eu store.  I was completely shocked!  Clothes were price very cheap that we left the store empty handed.  Lastly in the end, I changed my mind and did not wait for my brother and traveled back instead.  Maybe next time will do something special because I need to go back in 45 days to claim my new passport. 

The Love Month

Love is in the air when February comes. Simply because we celebrate Hearts Day or Valentines Day with our loved ones. This is a special month for lovers, friends and married couple to spend a memorable time with each other.  Hearts Day is in two weeks time but you will already see hearts  hanging on every store and petals of red roses on the floor. There are also lots of great deals in the stores for gifts, hotels with romantic packages that includes free massage and unlimited breakfast and special menu from restaurants as well.  Now is the time to think and plan to make your Valentines Day more special than ever.
