Omaha Beach

Omaha commonly known as Omaha Beach was the code name for one of the five sectors of the Allied invasion of German-occupied France in the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944, during World War II.  Here are some of the photos I took when I was there.  There are also amazing restaurants around the area which serves mussels and fresh oysters.  If your in Normandy and would like to go to the beach, Omaha beach is the place to be.

Wheat Raclette

Reminiscing this healthy breakfast I had when we were in Normandy, France. If you look closely,
it has a sunny side up egg in the center and the raclette is thin made of wheat flour similar to a tortilla (that is why i think the color is brown) folded on the sides to make a square shape.  You can ask if you want  it with salad or just the plain raclette what you see in the photo below.  Asking price is 4,75eu. So, don't forget to try this out when you are in Normandy.

The Best Seafood Pasta

I keep on thinking about this seafood pasta dish that I had a month ago when we were in Aromanches Normandy for a short trip.  I wanted to recreate this one or rather find an Italian restaurant that serves a seafood pasta dish and try it myself to satisfy my cravings.  This dish has a creamy white sauce with mixed seafood such as mussels, shrimps, squid and scallops.  It was just so perfect!

Le Mont Sint Michel France ( A Dream Come True)

This  incredible island monastery in France in the region of Normandy finally made my dream come to a reality.  I was in awe the whole time from the moment my eyes saw this beautiful Monastery.  The place is just breathtaking.  No words can described it.  The long journey getting there plus the thirty minute walk pays it off.

The place is packed with tourists from all over Europe plus tourists from The United States as well.  The top end of the monastery is where the monks used to live and now made into a museum.  Unfortunately, I can not share with you any pictures or whatsoever because we decided to skip it.  But if you would like to see what is inside the museum, you have to pay for 10eu each for admission.

If you want to know more about my trip to Le Mont Sint Michel, watch my video here.

Hotel Premiere Classe Caen

This has to be the hotel that has so far the most branches I knew here in Europe. Hotel Premiere Classe in Caen, region of Normandy in France is where we stayed for 4 nights last week but left a day early due to lack of strong wi-fi connection in our room. I booked the hotel online thru booking.com which I got it for a fair low price.  Here's the video on my Youtube Channel.  Enjoy watching!

The Worst Fries I Ever Had

Going to Caen, we decided to stop and check out another tourist place called Dieppe.  This is where i got the fries (at the seawall). I do not have to explain much the photo says it all.  It is the worsiest fries I have ever had in my life.  Looks soggy as it is cooked in an old oil plus the fries was so greasy (what can you expect). This one cost 3eu.
